Come and explore the gardens at ARU in Writtle.
You'll be able to view the many gardens which have been designed and built by students over many years. The grounds and gardens cover an area of 15 acres and include informal lawns with naturalised bulbs in spring, a large mature tree collection, and mixed shrub and herbaceous borders. They're all set on a 150-hectare countryside campus.
Many of the gardens have been designed and built by our students. They're used as ‘outdoor classrooms' demonstrating many different features, styles and landscape materials.
A guided tour leaflet, produced by horticulture students, will guide you round.
There's no need to book – just come along on the day.
Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
