About this event

The escalating Middle Eastern conflict has increased tensions within the UK’s diverse ethnic and faith communities. There is a critical need to engage in dialogue across faith groups, within educational institutions and between diverse community stakeholders, to build collaborative community spiritual capacity to restore trust, support community cohesion and wellbeing.

In this public event, we bring together faith leaders from the Abrahamic faith traditions (Islam, Judaism, & Christianity) to discuss the challenges we face in maintaining community cohesion in the face of complex crises that risk siloing and dividing faith groups on the basis of conflicting loyalties and global solidarities.

Our three speakers are:

  • Dr Jonathan Chaplin: Member of the Centre for Faith in Public Life, Divinity Faculty of the University of Cambridge - Dr Jonathan Chaplin
  • Dr Imranali Panjwani: Anglia Ruskin University Faculty of Business and Law and Founder of Diverse Legal Consulting - Dr Imranali Panjwani - ARU
  • Rabbi Leah Jordon: Liberal Judaism and Progressive Student Chaplain for University students - Rabbi Leah Jordon - Liberal Judaism

This event will take place in The Lord Ashcroft Buidling in room LAB307. This is a lunchtime event with catering provided. Please note that advance booking is essential.
