We would love to invite you and your students to our Cisco’s 2026 Girls in IT event on Wednesday 13 May, at our Cambridge campus, as part of the ongoing partnership between Anglia Ruskin University and Cisco.

This event is for students aged 12-14 (Yr 8’s and Yr 9’s).

The day's purpose is to inspire students and open their eyes to the world of possibilities. This event is being coordinated across 14 UK and Ireland sites simultaneously, which is incredibly exciting!

The day includes:

  • An introduction to the world of Cisco and the different roles and opportunities linked to a career in technology.
  • Interaction with employees, students and other sites through the national keynote.
  • Participation in a variety of engaging and interactive activities - seize the opportunity to delve into the realm of cybersecurity, computer science and more.
  • In the afternoon, they'll implement soft skills by taking part in a Dragon's Den task set by Cisco and showcase their work to the room.

These activities will help develop a range of skills, including collaborative design, computational thinking, communication, and critical thinking.

We'll provide lunch and snacks.

If you'd like to be involved in this, please reply to confirm participation.
