We're offering three engaging and educational Schools and Colleges Days as part of Chelmsford Science Festival 2026.

As well as this Year 9 day in Writtle, there are:

Aim of the day

The Year 9 Students Day is designed to support students as they begin to think about their future options. It will help them to:

  • explore future pathways, including potential careers and subject choices
  • understand employment opportunities, and the skills and qualifications linked to different roles
  • connect with higher education by experiencing university life in a supportive environment.

All activities are designed to support the Gatsby Benchmarks for good career guidance, providing your students with high-quality information and meaningful experiences.

What your students will experience
