We're excited to offer three engaging, educational events for schools and colleges, as part of the Chelmsford Science Festival.
We start with an event for Year 9 students at ARU in Writtle, on Wednesday 22 October.
There are also events for Year 10 and Year 12 students in Chelmsford.
Aim of the day
- Explore career paths: discover careers in science and technology through interactive sessions and workshops.
- Understand employment opportunities: learn about the skills and qualifications needed for different roles and how to pursue them.
- Connect with higher education: experience university life and understand the pathways to higher education.
Our activities are designed to meet the Gatsby Benchmarks for good career guidance, with students receive high-quality information and experiences.
What to expect
- Lecture-style session: kick off the day with a captivating headline act that will spark curiosity and excitement.
- Seminar-style session: take part in interactive workshops led by experts in various fields of science.
- Campus tour: explore our campus through a fun and educational scavenger hunt, designed to familiarise students with the university environment.
- Hands-on activities: experiment and discover the wonders of science in our Festival area.
