International Women's Day

3 - 8 March 2023, 18:00 - 21:00

The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is #EmbraceEquity. People start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable action.

Gender equality isn’t about women fighting for themselves. Allies are incredibly important for the social, economic, cultural and political advancement of women, and we can all challenge gender stereotypes, call out discrimination, draw attention to bias and seek out inclusion.

We’re proud to share stories from three of our alumni – Rosaliyo, Aneela and Natasha – about their experiences of working in areas that are historically more male-dominated.

You can also join us in Cambridge for free events to mark International Women's Day. We heard from award-winning journalist Angela Saini on 3 March, and tonight we welcome PhD student Anja Housden-Brooks to explore and unlock the mechanisms of transgressive fiction.
