Empowering transitions: unveiling veterans' journeys.

The Stories in Transition project is a two-year collaboration between military charities and universities exploring the impact of arts, culture and sport in supporting veterans’ transition to civilian life.

Through a series of creatively rich and insightful films, told through the voice of veterans and co-created with award-winning filmmakers, the veterans reflect on transition and its aftermath.

This event screens Return Belong Prosper. Displaced from a culture that they can't return to and frustrated with the one they're in, three military veterans imagine, paint and make real, a new world of kindness and compassion for fellow veterans, and their community.

Focusing on the work of our partnering charities and funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, Stories in Transition pioneers the use of creative methods to co-produce story based research with veterans about the role of arts, culture and sporting activities in transition.

The 30 min screening will be followed by a Q&A with the project principal investigator, Dr Nick Caddick.

This event will be taking place at Everyman Cinema in Chelmsford.
