Join space scientist and TV presenter Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock as she presents the Olaudah Equiano Annual Lecture on Race Justice.

As part of this exclusive event for the Chelmsford Science Festival, she will delve into her ambitions for the future of space science, enthusing young people with a love of science, and the ongoing challenges of equality and diversity in science.

Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock is best known for presenting the BBC's long-running astronomy series, The Sky at Night, a role she has held since 2014, as well as other space documentaries.

Maggie is a Research Fellow at University College London and works to engage the public with science. She received an MBE for services to science and science education and has led projects making everything from landmine detectors to satellite subsystems.

This event will be taking place in SAL001 at Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford.
