Re-shaping Landscapes' is a performance project delving into the ephemerality of disappearing and transforming landscapes, particularly focusing on the ever-changing terrain of East Anglia. In this region, where marshes, fens and broads once stood as symbols of human effort, nature is now reclaiming its domain. 'Re-shaping Landscapes' is an artistic exploration, a practice research initiative designed to connect communities across distances through the interaction of technology and performance.

Our project is a dialogue with nature and a celebration of resilience. Join us on this transformative journey culminating in a performance specially crafted for live and digital engagement. Let us rediscover our sense of community, not only within our human circles but also with the very land beneath our feet. Together, we can reclaim not just landscapes, but the shared essence of belonging, adapting and thriving in the face of change.

We have invited international performance-makers to become an integral part of this project in a hybrid event involving live performance and digital streaming across the world. By exploring the coordinates of vanishing terrains, we have choreographed a unique movement narrative that relates to transforming geographical spaces.

Through this fusion of bodies in nature and digital collaboration we aim to explore how our adaptability to transformation can pave the way to more sustainable futures for our communities.

Facilitated by Eva Aymami Rene, dancer, choreographer and lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University; and Naz Yeni, theatre-maker, movement practitioner, academic researcher and a drama teacher.
