The CBS is delivering a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Wealmoor Ltd, a leading UK fresh produce business based in London, to embed operational excellence and data analytics in a high variability, perishable operations environment.
The project will integrate Lean methods with ERP-enabled performance dashboards to improve labour efficiency, reduce yield loss, and increase transport and distribution effectiveness.
Working alongside frontline teams, the KTP Associate and academic team will pilot, validate, and scale practical improvements, while building internal capability through training, standard work, and continuous improvement routines. The work will also generate a transferable implementation framework for operational excellence in fresh food supply chains, supporting wider sector adoption and impact.
