The Ghana Scholarly Society (GSS) invites nominations for its prestigious annual awards, which recognise excellence in research, innovation, and emerging scholarship across academia, industry, and public service.
All nominees must demonstrate clear alignment with the theme of the upcoming GSS Annual Conference. Self-nominations are welcome.
Awarded to an individual whose work demonstrates exceptional innovation, international recognition, and leadership within their field.
Eligibility: Open to researchers in academia or industry.
Prize: Plenary lecture at the GSS Annual Conference, commemorative award, and complimentary conference registration.
Recognises a professional whose innovative work in an applied or industry-based context has had measurable, real-world impact.
Eligibility: Open to individuals in industry, NGOs, consultancy, or public service.
Prize: Plenary presentation at the GSS Annual Conference, commemorative award, and complimentary registration.
Celebrates an early-career academic or professional (within five years of PhD or equivalent) who has demonstrated excellence, originality, and leadership potential.
Prize: Plenary presentation at the GSS Annual Conference, commemorative award, and complimentary registration.

Awarded to the most outstanding academic paper presented at the GSS Annual Conference.
Eligibility: Open to all accepted papers across all thematic tracks. No separate application required.
Selection process:
Prize: Certificate of recognition, opportunity to publish in a GSS-affiliated outlet, and featured mention on GSS platforms.
