Who Watches the Art Watchers?

Cambridge School of Art students curate and exhibit at Motion Sickness
Five Cambridge School of Art students were among thirteen artists who took part in a recent exhibition by Cambridge-based art collective Motion Sickness.
The Art of Watching Art was a group exhibition showcasing a broad range of works by artists involved in the invigilation of previous exhibitions at the project space.
Two of the students – Sarah Strachan and Stepanka Facerova – also curated the exhibition, working as creative duo Itiswhatitis. The other students who exhibited their work were Beeny Harwood-Purkiss, Bruna Pereira-Fernandes and Ana Dias.
The aim of the exhibition was to highlight the role of the "art watcher", the "unsung heroes" of the art world. In a museum or gallery art watchers are usually guards or paid staff, but at the Motion Sickness Project Space they are volunteers.
