Anglia Ruskin student illustrator up for prestigious award

We’re delighted to announce that MA Children’s Book Illustration student Beatriz Lostalé Seijo has made it onto the shortlist of the 2017 V&A Illustration Awards.

Beatriz’ work The Odyssey is one of five picked out by judges for the student illustrator category, with the winners to be announced in an award ceremony at the Victoria and Albert Museum on 16 May 2017.

Established in 1972, the V&A Illustration Award is one of the most respected and best-funded in the sector, with the winner of each category receiving £3,000.  Previous winners include Sir Quentin Blake, Ralph Steadman, and Posy Simmonds.

All the winning artworks will be displayed at the V&A museum from 17 May to 20 August 2017.  We wish Beatriz the best of luck at the ceremony, and hope to see her work on display at the V&A alongside the other winners.
