Engage: annual learning and teaching conference

Our Annual Learning and Teaching Conference, Engage, is an opportunity to showcase and explore our learning, teaching and assessment-related activities to further enhance our student learning experience.

Engage is open to all colleagues across the University and our intention is for it to be a day of inspiration, connection, and creativity. Engage 2026 took place on Tuesday 23 June on our Chelmsford campus. This year more than 80 staff celebrated the amazing work we do for and with our students, and shared good practice and ideas to take our teaching into the next 10 years of our strategy. We heard from our award-winning sustainability students, held a partner panel with our international partners and shared expertise across faculties and professional services.
