Bek Genery

Academic Researcher and Developer Neuro-diversity and Dis/ability

Email: [email protected]

Bek is plagued by curiosity and has a healthy sense of the ridiculous. She feels that we come up with our best work collaboratively, via happy accidents and when we are having fun.

Being neurodiverse means that she gets to come at issues from interesting perspectives. She has worked in education/training with stop-offs in bars and retail and ran her own silver and goldsmithing business for 15 years.

Research interests

Bek is interested in the following as areas of research:

  • transitions
  • belonging
  • alternative ways of accrediting knowledge
  • tinkering with problems
  • patterns
  • nurturing.
