Sustainability awards and achievements

Staff member Victoria Tait receives the NUS Responsible Futures award

We're proud to have received the following awards and accreditation for our work on sustainability, and to be the home of the Global Sustainability Institute – established in Cambridge in 2011.

Our catering service received the Food for Life Served Here Bronze certification from the Soil Association. This award demonstrates that the food we serve is healthy and sustainable, free from additives, artificial trans fats and GM ingredients and makes the most of seasonal ingredients. Meat served can be traced back to the farm and meets or exceeds UK animal welfare standards.
