Finnish partnership promotes student and staff exchange, plus R&D collaboration
Anglia Ruskin University and the South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Xamk) have signed a formal agreement to strengthen co-operation in education, research and development, as well as promote international student and staff exchange.
The agreement was signed in Mikkeli, Finland, yesterday by Anglia Ruskin University’s Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Roderick Watkins, Jyrki Koivikko, Chairman of the Board of Xamk, and Heikki Saastamoinen, President and CEO of Xamk.
The agreement promotes progression from undergraduate study at Xamk to masters degree programmes at Anglia Ruskin, while at the same time the opportunity to study a masters programme at Xamk will be promoted to Anglia Ruskin undergraduates.
The agreement aims to increase the mobility of students and staff between the two partner universities, while also fostering the joint preparation and implementation of research and development projects for the benefit of both universities.
