Celebration Events are for further education students. If you're looking for information about university graduation ceremonies, visit our graduation pages.

All final-year further education students (full-time and part-time) are eligible to attend a Writtle College Celebration Event.

Celebration Events are designed to be a fitting and memorable occasion to mark the end of your experience at Writtle College.

As this is the last day of session, all students are expected to attend.

Entry to Celebration Events is by ticket only, and all students will need to register to confirm attendance.

When you receive this email, you'll be able to request guest tickets. Please note that due to the size of our venue, there is a limit of one guest per student.

Tickets to the Celebration Events are free.

No. You must attend the Celebration Event that is allocated to your subject department.

Once you've registered to attend your Celebration Event, the cost of guest lunch tickets is only refundable in exceptional circumstances. Please be sure your guest(s) can attend before buying lunch tickets for them.

Refund requests should be made in writing to [email protected].

No. As examination/assessment results will not be known by the date of the event, only certificates of attendance will be presented to you on the stage.

Celebration Events are formal occasions and the dress code is smart/formal. See On the day for more details.

Celebration Events are lengthy, formal occasions and experience has shown that children do get bored and restless. If you decide to bring a young child and they require a seat, they'll need a guest ticket of their own and must be accompanied by an adult.

Children under three years of age who can sit on another guest's lap will not require a ticket.

Pushchairs are not permitted in the church due to narrow walkways that need to be kept clear for students and the platform party.

No. Students will be seated to one side of the church in reserved seats, which are organised in the order that you will be presented with your certificates. Guests will be seated on the opposite side of the church.

Yes, taking photographs and videos is permitted in the church. However, we ask all guests to be considerate of others; and to not block aisles or exits, in order to comply with health and safety regulations.

Each event lasts for approximately 45 minutes.

After the event, students and guests return to Writtle College for a Celebration drink. There will be the opportunity to purchase additional drinks and food from a variety of vendors.

You'll also be able to have photographs taken by professional photographers (see On the day for more information about photography), and take your own photos in the College grounds.
