Join us for an inspiring community day in Cambridge, to mark Refugee Week.

The event will be showcasing artwork created by asylum-seeking women, the result of a series of workshops that allowed women to come together to draw, practise their English and relax.

In addition, there's a full programme of events:

  • 11-11.30am: Arrival and coffee/tea
  • 11.30am-1.30pm: Roundtable panel (main room)
  • 1.30-2pm: Middle Eastern food, art and music (downstairs)
  • 2-3pm: Live art workshop – create your own HomeArt
  • 3.30-5pm: Film screening

The roundtable session includes:

  • HomeArt – Refugee Women’s Voice and Agency Through Art

  • Motherhood and Forced Displacement: Refugee Mothers Negotiating Everyday Life

Exhibition and community event organised by Cambridge Refugee Resettlement Campaign with Oblique Arts and CamCRAG.
