Mental Health Nursing student Ella

Faculty:Health, Education, Medicine and Social Care

School:School of Nursing and Midwifery

Course: BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing

Hi, my name is Ella and I am a first year Mental Health Nursing student.

Originally, I was nervous to apply for a nursing course as I had no previous healthcare experience. However, after attending one of the ARU Open Days I was reassured that this would not put me at a disadvantage. With the right work ethic and passion you will be able to succeed. regardless of your background.

During my time at ARU I have felt massive amounts of support from my course leaders and lecturers – I am confident that I have chosen the right university for me. Although most of my lectures have been online due to the coronavirus pandemic, I have still been able to easily connect and engage with other students. However, I cannot wait to be back on campus and experience the full student life ARU has to offer! I am so excited to be a Student Ambassador and to get the opportunity to share my knowledge. I want to give you a better insight into what it’s like to be a student nurse at ARU.
