Jodie and Lizzie in D&AD New Blood ‘excellent examples’
Students’ online portfolios picked as examples of best practice
Jodie Howard and Lizzie Knott, two of our graduating BA Illustration students, have been selected by D&AD as having 'excellent examples' online portfolios. The recognition was awarded to the best New Blood portfolios that use the Squarespace web platform.
D&AD (Design and Art Directors) is a non-profit advertising and design association known for its highly coveted Pencil Awards, including the New Blood Awards for up-and-coming talent. It also provides a vital network for the global community of designers and artists. The selected websites were chosen by a panel of judges from AKQA, Faber and Faber, and Droga5.
Both students have previously seen their work receive high-profile acclaim, with Lizzie being interviewed by the BBC for her illustrations on mental health during lockdown, and Jodie selected as one of the Association of Illustrators’ Top Ten Students to Watch 2020, so this marks yet another impressive achievement to add to their growing CVs. We are immensely proud of them both.
