Engage – call for proposals, one month to go
Engage, Anglia Learning and Teaching’s annual conference open to all colleagues across the University, will take place remotely on Tuesday 22 June 2021.
The call for proposals is now open: if you are involved in learning, teaching and the student experience, and have a story to tell or an activity to facilitate, you can complete the online form to express your interest.
The deadline is one month’s time: Monday 24 May 2021.
Our theme and keynote will focus on ‘inclusion’ as we explore some key aspects throughout the day. Please consider if the following 'golden threads’ could link to or enhance your workshop or presentation:
- Fostering a sense of belonging
- Exploring intersectionality and celebrating diversity
- Ensuring clarity and fairness in assessment
- Promoting equality of access and social capital
- Championing equal opportunity and employment
- Showcasing interdisciplinarity and diverse representation
The online event will feature a keynote from Dr Jason Arday, Deputy Executive Dean (People and Culture) Faculty of Social Science and Health/ Associate Professor in Sociology, in the Department of Sociology at Durham University. Our Vice Chancellor and DVC Education will join us to open the event and talk about our new Race Equality Strategy. Finally our ARU BAME student advocates will host a Q&A session regarding their work from this academic year.
We’re also designing the conference with inclusion in mind, with opportunities to join and engage in different ways according to your own time, needs and interests.
Please book your place for this year's conference on Business World - the course ID is L&TC7.
