New online resources added to our Need to Know Canvas site

A new resource, ALT Canvas Courses, has been added to the Need to Know Canvas site. This portal provides quick access to 20+ learning and teaching-related resources, guidance and training sites ranging from assessment and feedback to course design, classroom management and digital literacy.

While the Need to Know Canvas site was initially developed for new academic staff, it provides all users—regardless of role and time at ARU—with helpful information and related links about the structure, vision and systems of the university.

“Need to Know was developed years ago when we still used the virtual learning environment (VLE). It has subsequently undergone a transformation in Canvas. Now its pages direct users to more distinct help regarding what, where, how and why things are done at ARU,” says Linda Brown, Academic Developer, AL&T. 

Users can navigate from the home page or directly from the A-Z index to locate particular topics more quickly – from the Active Curriculum Framework to Workplace Health & Wellbeing.
