Arise Networking Goes Off with a Pop!

After the success of their summer ‘Pimms and Prosecco’ event, Arise Innovation Hubs hosted ‘Pizza and Prosecco’.

Arise Innovation Hubs organise informal networking events like this to increase networking opportunities for business occupants and introduce them to external SMEs in the HealthTech and MedTech industries. These events encourage links between occupants and academics by engaging businesses within the ecosystem with the various support services provided by the University.

This event brought together many local businesses over a glass of prosecco and a slice of pizza, from the FSB, Pioneer Group and Isogenica, to senior lecturers within Anglian Ruskin University.

Senior lecturer from Business and Law in ARU Cambridge, Ikene Okwechime, introduced his class of students with a 10 minute talk, and they were able to tour the Hub, with a meet and greet of our occupants.

Our occupants also met ARU’s Entrepreneurship Manager Jo Living, to discuss entrepreneurship at the University. Arise welcomes occupants that are innovative businesses in the Health, Performance and Wellbeing sectors, including those from HealthTech and MedTech sectors.

There were approximately 15 businesses and SMEs attending, with the event timed to encourage occupants to drop in after work and spend some informal time away from their desks, getting together to exchange information, share experiences, learn and develop new connections and opportunities together.

These informal networking events also showcase the Innovation Hubs and ARU facilities to potential occupants and the wider Chelmsford business community, so get in touch if you’d like to attend any of the events Arise are hosting.
