How you can inspire students to join your industry

We invite organisations to interact with our students and recent graduates in a number of ways. You can attend careers and jobs fairs on campus to meet our students, gain exposure for your business and identify talented and eager job seekers as well as helping them to build their networks and career plans.

Here are just some of the ways you can get involved:

  • exhibiting at one of our careers and job fairs on campus, attending a networking event or hosting a presentation, information session or skills workshop for students - either in-person, virtually or hybrid
  • hosting an information stand on campus to increase brand recognition and promote current opportunities
  • delivering industry lectures in the curriculum – an opportunity to share experiences and opportunities with a targeted audience of students
  • advertise graduate jobs, placement year schemes, internships and promote your own externally-hosted events to our students and graduates free of charge via Handshake
  • join an Employer Advisory Group to make sure the content of our courses reflects industry needs
  • propose a Live Brief and challenge our students to come up with a fresh and creative solution or ideas that could benefit your organisation
  • support our diversity initiatives such as Mentoring, ARU Shine B.A.ME

"Thank you and well done to you and your team for yesterday’s recruitment fair. I think you came up with a formula and strategy that worked really well and was a great solution to a very difficult problem.

"Your students were also incredibly professional, articulate and well informed and it was a real pleasure to have the opportunity to speak with them."

"Working with the careers team at ARU has been great! They have enabled us to get in touch with a diverse range of students by coordinate bespoke careers events which were really well attended alongside helping us to sign up for central planned university events. The team is super helpful, and it has been great to have a regular point of contact when organising careers events."
